Quickly and easily add a realistic snowfall condition to your photographs with these versatile brushes for Photoshop. They can be used to add just a small amount of snow or a heavy snow storm on your images and create a different atmosphere on your photos.

Simply select one of the brush presets, choose a white color and paint snow onto your image. We recommend creating a new blank layer for the brushes and adjust the size and opacity of the brush to create a more or less intense effect.

Besides the 10 unique brushes included in the pack, with sizes from 900 px to 1800 px, you will also find 10 overlay textures made at 4800 x 3200 px (72 dpi) ready to be used over any image. Simply adjust the texture to cover your whole image and set the Blending Mode of the texture layer to Screen.

How to install (brushes):

  1. Open Photoshop.
  2. Go to Edit > Presets > Preset Manager.
  3. From the dropdown select "Brushes" and click on Load, locate the "Medialoot - Snow Brushes.abr" file and click Load.

How to use (brushes):

  1. Open any image in Photoshop and make a new empty layer.
  2. Select the Brush tool (B) and choose the snow brush preset you want to use.
  3. Pick a white foreground color and start painting.

How to use (textures):

  1. Open any image in Photoshop.
  2. Go to File > Place.
  3. Pick any of the included snow textures.
  4. Resize the texture to cover your whole canvas.
  5. Set the Blend Mode of the texture layer to Screen and adjust the opacity as needed.

Tips:

  • Begin with a lower brush opacity (25-55%) and small size.
  • Use a larger brush size and increase the opacity to 60-100% to add more snow.
  • Use multiple layers with different brush sizes and opacities.
  • Use 2 or more overlay textures with different opacities for a more real effect.
