With the Highlight Text Photoshop Action, you can easily highlight any text with a single click of the mouse. The action comes with 4 different highlight sizes and it supports up to 3 lines of text. Using the action is really simple, just create a new file in Photoshop, type your text (1 line per layer) and run the action you want according to the highlight size you wish and the lines number in your text. Once the action finish, you can adjust change the text color, the highlight color and reposition both exactly where you want it. Besides text, you can also use the action with any type of vector or raster shape. Simply place your vector or raster shape in a new layer above the background, and run the action.

How to install (action):

  1. Open Photoshop.
  2. In the Actions Panel click on the top right icon and from the dropdown menu select "Load Actions".
  3. Locate the "Medialoot - Highlight Text.atn" file and click on Load.

How to use (1 text line):

  1. Open Photoshop and make a new file (be sure that your Background layer is locked).
  2. Type your text in a new layer using one single line (be sure to have this layer selected).
  3. Select any of the "Highlight 1 Line" actions and click on the play button.

How to use (2 text lines):

  1. Open Photoshop and make a new file (be sure that your Background layer is locked).
  2. Type your first line of text in a new layer using one single line.
  3. Type your second line of text in a new layer using one single line.
  4. Be sure to have your top text layer selected.
  5. Select any of the "Highlight 2 Lines" actions and click on the play button.

How to use (3 text lines):

  1. Open Photoshop and make a new file (be sure that your Background layer is locked).
  2. Type your first line of text in a new layer using one single line.
  3. Type your second line of text in a new layer using one single line.
  4. Type your third text line in a new layer using one single line.
  5. Be sure to have your top text layer selected.
  6. Select any of the "Highlight 3 Lines" actions and click on the play button.
