Usually, complex illustrations can take hours to create, but sometimes you can achieve the same result using Illustrator's powerful tools and effects. Today, I'll walk you through how to quickly create a complex flower image that can be easily changed or adjusted later.

Step 1

Open Illustrator and make a new file at any size you want. In this case, I will setup mine at 800 x 800 px.

Step 2

Select the Ellipse Tool (L), click once over the artboard and set the size to 130 px.

Step 3

Select the Star Tool, click once over the artboard and set the Radius 1 to 203px, the Radius 2 to 96px the Points to 10 and click OK.

Step 7

In the top toolbar, click on the "Convert selected anchor points to smooth" icon.
